The Oglala Sioux Rural Water Supply System (OSRWSS) receives treated water from the Mni Wiconi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Ft. Pierre, SD and provides treated drinking water to four (4) different rural water systems: the Oglala Sioux Rural Water Supply System (OSRWSS) on-Reservation Distribution System, Rosebud Rural Water System, Lower Brule Sioux Rural Water System, and the West River/Lyman-Jones Rural Water System through the OSRWSS Core System that is operated by the OSRWSS

Rocky Boy’s/North Central Montana Regional Water System

The Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy’s Reservation and the State of Montana, through the Reserved Water Rights Commission, negotiated a settlement of the Tribe’s Water Rights Claims. The Compact, ratified by the 1997 Montana Legislature and signed by President Clinton in December of 1999, provided a water allocation of 10,000 acre feet to the Tribe from Tiber Reservoir, south of Chester, Montana
