The Adams County Development Corporation (ACDC) plays an important role in the community by supporting business expansion, recruitment, and retention as well as providing tourism promotion, community development, economic development, and professional development.

Up to this point, the ACDC had not had a formal Economic Development Strategic Plan. AE2S Communications developed surveys for businesses and students, held focus groups, and interviewed community members and business leaders within the community. The team also used mySidewalk to dive deeper into Adams County demographics, workforce, schools, and housing. Based on the results of this information and input from the Executive Director and Board a Strategic Plan was developed.

The plan focuses on workforce development, business retention and expansion, and livability and tourism. Each of these priorities have specific goals that consider priority, feasibly, and responsibility. This plan has already begun to be executed and will guide the organization over the next three to five years.
