The North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association (NDRWSA) recently awarded one of its highest honors, the Friend of Rural Water Award, to a longtime AE2S employee. Cory Chorne, PE, Strategic Client Leader, received the prestigious award during the NDRWSA Water Expo and Conference in February.

NDRWSA says the annual Friend of Rural Water Award is given to “someone who provides outstanding service and exceptional contributions to further the goals of rural water in North Dakota.”

Neil Breidanbach, East Central Regional Water District System Manager, is one of the people who nominated Chorne for the award.  “Cory is always willing to help. He is a great mentor, friend, and advocate for rural water. Cory is continuously going out of his way to help others. While he has spent most of his time in western North Dakota, his charm and personality are known statewide. He is always generous, caring, and compassionate. A true water leader,” said Breidanbach.

Chorne joined the AE2S team in 1998. For much of his career, he has focused on rural water system clients to help them develop large scale regional water systems. He works closely with clients in the development, phasing, design, and construction of projects.

“I am honored and humbled to have been nominated and presented with this prestigious award. I share this award with the many rural water clients that have put their trust in me over the years and with my colleagues at AE2S who have worked tirelessly to ensure our clients’ success,” says Chorne.
