For a third year in a row, AE2S employees’ nominations helped the firm to be named among the 50 Best Places to Work by Prairie Business Magazine.
“This is a great award to receive, especially because it comes from nominations from our staff,” says Grant Meyer, AE2S CEO. “One of the things people say they particularly appreciate is the AE2S commitment, since being founded 28 years ago, to offering 100% paid health insurance to employee owners and their families.”
“I believe another reason we are one of the Top 50 Places to Work is because each of us is invested in the success of the firm as employee-owners. In 2018 AE2S transitioned from being privately-owned to an Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP),” says Megan Houser, AE2S HR Director. “Each person can see the financial benefit of thinking big and going beyond for our clients.”
AE2S also promotes staff wellness in its company culture along with teamwork in its annual wellness challenges. A recent companywide walking challenge had the staff logging their daily steps with a goal of walking more than 14,220 miles. The employee-owners met the challenge head on and in true AE2S fashion, went beyond the goal by walking at total of 23,486 miles! AE2S operates 20 offices across eight states. The walking challenge had the staff log their steps daily to virtually reach the AE2S offices in order of when each location was established.
Prairie Business magazine names the Top 50 Places to Work in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota annually. This year, the publication received more than 1,400 nominations focused on a range of factors, including benefits, workplace culture, and employee morale.
