Spraying Season in the Northern Great Plains: How GIS Can Help

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture (SDDA) developed an online mapping tool that helps to prevent the negative effects of pesticide drift.  It’s called the South Dakota Sensitive Sites Registry, and uses the ArcGIS platform.  You can access the registry here.

Both producers of sensitive crops and pesticide applicators are able to register their information in order to manage drift effectively.
