  • Grand Forks Clearwell
The project involved the construction of a new 7 million gallon clearwell and a 24 million gallon per day (MGD), expandable to 48 MGD, high service pumping station, and the design and construction of approximately five miles of dual 30-inch ductile iron transmission pipelines in association with the construction of five miles of 14-inch PVC water treatment plant residuals force main; including valves, air release systems, and other associated appurtenances. The project also included an evaporation pond, removal and replacement of four existing high service pumps with three new vertical turbine pumps to transfer water to the new clearwell, and installation of a new triplex booster pump system within the existing water treatment plant for the City of Grand Forks. • Mandan Reservoir
When the City of Mandan’s Collins Avenue Reservoir was failing, they turned to AE2S to expedite a new reservoir to include site, operation, and connection to the existing system. Through a previously completed model, a preferred site was located on the south side of the City, in a location which solved multiple issues including service to growth areas, pressure and fire flow issues, and redundancy to the south side of town. AE2S fast tracked a system that included a compartmentalized 4 million gallon reservoir, a two mile 20-inch transmission pipe, and a 16-inch tie back water main. The reservoir as finished is a “tank within a tank” consisting of a 1.5 million gallon cast-in-place tank inside a 2.5 million gallon pre-stressed ground storage reservoir. Water Distribution

Grand Forks Clearwell

More than just pipe.  Most water distribution systems contain miles and miles of pipe that bring clean water to individuals, businesses, and industries.  AE2S has designed and overseen the installation of thousands of miles of water lines in cities and rural areas with populations from 10 to more than 100,000. Distribution systems are more than just pipe, however. AE2S's comprehensive distribution system experience includes pump stations, transmission and distribution lines, water towers, and reservoirs. The ability to provide hydraulic modeling and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services add value to the robust water distribution systems we design for our clients.
