Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services (AE2S) ranked second in CE News’ Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For in the small firm category (less than 100 people) and sixth overall Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work For in the nation.

This announcement comes on the heels of the 18th Anniversary of the firm, which began as a two-person civil engineering firm in 1991. The firm has seen a steady growth rate as it has attracted specialized engineers and technicians from regional universities and colleges looking for an opportunity to work on large-scale, multi-million infrastructure dollar projects utilizing unique technologies.

This is the first time AE2S has participated in the Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work For and is the only Midwest firm to be represented in the Top Ten Civil Engineering category. “Being a Best Firm to Work For is an honor, and wouldn’t be possible without the commitment and dedication of our employees. The Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work For is a national competition conducted by CE News and ranks firms based on criteria such as firm culture and values, quality of leadership, compensation and benefits, recognition programs, social atmosphere, and professional growth opportunities. The rankings are based on a corporate survey regarding employment practices, as well as a confidential employee survey administered by a third party. Results were announced on September 22, 2009 at the 2009 Best Firm to Work for Summit in Chicago.
