GIS Tip:

  • Jacques Bertin is a French cartographer who developed visual variables to show qualitative or quantitative differences. There are so many ways to encode information in a map, and using the work of Bertin can lead to the most effective way to do it. Communicating through GIS is an art, but it’s also a science, and fortunately you have an experienced team on your side.
