WILBUR-ELLIS ADDITION PLAT WINS FIRST PLACE IN NATIONAL MAPPING COMPETITION

Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. (AE2S) recently won first place in the “Subdivision Plat” category of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) and National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) map competition for their plat of the Wilbur-Ellis Addition in Grand Forks, ND. Maps and plats from all over the United States were judged on adherence to the minimum standards set forth by NSPS. Interpretability, content and layout of data shown, presentation, innovation, applicability to typical client, and correctness were used as judging criteria. A copy of the winning plat will be placed on display and permanently stored in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. AE2S won a similar award in 2004 for the Land Title Survey of Southern Manor in Grand Forks, which is also displayed in the Library of Congress.
